The reasoning behind choosing the number 37 is mainly a tribute to a family member who passed away young and was born on March 7 (3/7). It also works well logistically because 37 days is enough time for your brain to start forming new habits and breaking old ones.
Do I have to join the Discord?
No. The Discord is mainly to create community and a support system for getting through the challenge.
While it’s highly recommended to join to make the experience better for yourself, you’re also perfectly welcome to follow along on your own and stay updated through socials and the email list.
Who can join 37 Days?
Everyone: the goal of this challenge is to help people reconnect to life, and we’ve seen interest from all sorts of people.
Whether you’re male or female, 10 or 90, we hope this challenge helps anyone looking for support.
What are the 37 Days rules?
We have a full detailed list on the About page, but the gist is:
educational online content only; no social media scrolling, gaming, inappropriate content, recreational drugs, or alcohol.
Are there exceptions to the 37 Days rules?
Yes. Many people have valid reasons to create exceptions to the 37 Days rules—they’re more of a strong guideline than a be-all, end-all. We highly recommend you share these exceptions in the Discord ahead of time, or if you’re doing it on your own, write them down.
Does 37 Days cost money?
Joining and participating in 37 Days is completely free—the Discord has no paywall.
We do offer a 37 Days+ subscription, which is an additional accountability group. Inside this group, we do extra challenges and track each other more closely to help you stick to the challenge, but this is entirely optional.
